How to make peach juice
Juicing with peaches can be very simple. All you need is 3-5 peaches and a juicer or blender.
Ingredients
- Peaches
- Water (optional)
Equipment
- Cold press juicer or regular juicer OR
- Blender or immersion blender or food processor
- Nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer
How to juice peaches with a juicer
- Wash peaches thoroughly
- Peel (optional) and remove pit
- Cut into quarters
- Process through juicer
- Serve immediately (I would suggest adding some ice if you’re drinking your peach juice straight). See below for other ideas on what to use peach juice for!
No juicer? No problem!
How to make peach juice without a juicer
Follow steps 1-3. Instead of processing through a juicer you will use a blender method. Place chopped peaches in blender and add about ½-1 cup cold water per 3-5 peaches.
If you like pulp in your juice you can drink this blended juice as is (it will be thicker) straight from the blender. To remove the pulp, I like to use a nut milk bag like this one. Pour peach liquid from your blender into the nut milk bag. Hold it over a large mason jar or large bowl to collect juice. Squeeze the bag to get as much liquid out as possible. Save your pulp for baking! You can freeze your pulp for later use. Divide pulp into ice cube trays and freeze.
An immersion blender is great option too if you don’t have a high-speed blender.
Notes:
Peach juice will have a thicker consistency, especially if you left the peels on and use a blender. My favorite way to use peach juice is to make mocktails or cocktails with it, or to flavor my kids’ homemade fruit leather, apple sauce or adding a splash to sparkling water.
For best results, I recommend chilling the peaches prior to juicing them or blending them. This way you can enjoy the juice chilled right away. I like to add ice, but it will dilute your juice a little bit (so keep that in mind!).
Peach juice is perfect on it’s own, but if you prefer your homemade juice sweeter, you can always add a little maple syrup or simple syrup. Personally, I prefer the natural sweetness, but experiment with what you like best!
Peach juice combinations
Some of my favorite ways to use fresh peach juice:
- Serve a glass of peach juice by itself over ice cubes
- Flavoring with sparkling water (add a splash of lemon juice too!)
- Mixing with cocktails or mocktails- I like to use peach juice to flavor margaritas or mojitos best!
- Adding to iced tea or hot tea
- Adding lime juice and fresh mint (this is a refreshing drink!)
- Blending with orange juice or mango juice
